Are we human doings or human beings?

    Do you remember that moment ?
    The resolutions and the goals you made?
    The things you wanted to do?

    Do you remember any of it?
    Before this,
    this 
    and this  
    happened?

    A lot of us used to have
    the same old list
    over and over again

    To clear this up
    It’s not a bad thing to have goals
    it’s not a bad thing to go forward
    Absolutely not!
    We all need something to look up to
    And we understand that resolutions, goals
    always give us that energy
    to start fresh
    But
    there is a catch here

    Let me explain

    Since day one
    we’re already planing and hustling
    all the things we need to do
    start a new company
    get more clients
    earn morev renovate the housev cook more
    exercise more
    do your everyday todo list

    It’s all about do, do, do
    and it’s basically how we start every year
    reflecting on what and how to accomplish things
    while forgetting something way important

    It’s a simple question
    that we all need to ask ourselves:
    How do i wanna feel this year?
    How do i wanna feel every day?
    ohhhh
    If you’ve already thought about this
    that’s great!
    And if you haven’t
    well
    here’s your chance to

    Think about it
    a world where we care more about
    being before doing
    a world where we think more about how to be
    with ourselves
    how to be with our loved ones
    and even with complete strangers
    Like being happy
    being gentle
    being carrying
    being compassionate
    being kind
    before we start thinking about
    all the things we have to do

    And think again
    especially after the year we just had
    with all the crises we’re still going through
    does it still make much sense
    a list of all the things we need to do do do?
    so after you can bev or feel better

    What if this year
    we put BE first
    and DO second

    I know we all have been taught
    that we need to do first
    so we can have
    and then be.
    you know the popular belief
    do more,
    work more,
    buy more,
    so you can have more
    and then you can be
    happier

    But what if we got it all wrong?
    What if this time
    we started with to be
    then do
    so we can have.

    You know,
    studies showed
    that every action we take
    is closely linked to our state of mind
    meaning, how we feel at that moment

    So
    it’s no surprise that if you feel happy
    you’ll probably do something kind and gentle.
    And
    if you feel angry
    you'll probably do something scrappy
    or
    inappropriate.
    So yes
    our state of mind shapes what we do.
    After all,
    we’re all human beings
    not human doings.

    True
    but putting be first and do second
    how does it work exactly?
    Well, you simply start your day by asking yourself
    How do you wanna feel?
    This way,
    your state of mind is set before jumping into your to do list.

    Oh I see
    but
    how is it any different?
    Imagine
    that you wanna feel and experience love
    so your mindset will be attracted to love
    and your actions will follow
    So, you will make sure that you probably spend more time with your loved ones, be more present with them or call them more, or any other other little thing that will make you feel that love.

    And imagine that you want to feel more confident,
    your actions will follow
    so, you will make sure that you probably read a book about confidence or challenge yourself in a way that will make you feel that confidence.

    And let’s say that you want to feel relaxed,
    your actions will follow
    so, you’ll make sure that you call a friend and share a laugh or take a nap or go for a walk, or take time to meditate…
    Whatever it is
    that will make you feel
    that way.

    See…
    these things wouldn’t figure on your todo list if you didn’t take the time to think

    about how you wanted to feel that day.

    Oh I get it
    so choosing my state of mind is a sort of
    a guideline for what I wanna do and have in life.

    Exactly!
    Whether you’re aware of it or not,
    It’s your state of mind
    meaning how you feel
    that will always define
    what you will do next.

    So can you even begin to imagine how our lives would be
    if our actions match with the state of mind we consciously embrace

    and not with
    what society expects from us
    If our resolutions and anything in life started with
    How do i wanna feel?

    So here’s your question
    How do you wanna feel this year?

    The world we’re living in
    is like a clay
    and each one of us
    has a part in shaping it
    So again
    Imagine if each one of us,
    meaning more than 7 billion people
    start with putting be first and do second

    For sure,
    the days we spend
    the news we hear
    the relationships we have
    our mental health
    and
    the whole world we live in
    won’t be the same.

    And perhaps, who knows
    this 
    this  
    and that  
    might never happen again!

    So now that you know
    what it’s gonna be?
    A Human doing?
    or a Human being?
